A free show: no strings attached

Learning life lessons can still be fun, especially if they are narrated by puppets.
Laugh along with learning when Portland’s Dragon Theater company performs the puppet show “Advanced Dungeons and Decisions” at Toledo Public Library this Friday, April 18.
The interactive show features an elf, a dwarf and a musical bard looking for adventure. After helping an innkeeper get his stinky cheese back from a giant rat, they hear of treasure to be found in a dangerous dungeon. The audience participates in their decisions as they meet monsters and goblins and make their way to the Boss Monster. Will the party meet the Owl-Bear or the Bear-Owl? The Dragon or The Treasure? If they fail, they have to go and try again and again. But in the end, they find that friendship is the true treasure as they work together and learn that everyone has different talents.
Dragon Theater produces many family-friendly shows meant to be enjoyed by all ages, with such productions as “Rock and Roll Caveman” and “Rocket Hamster's Dreamy Space Odyssey.”
Friday’s show begins at 1 pm at Toledo Public Library, located at 173 NW 7th Street.
